Who is Crown Leadership Academy?
Crown Leadership Academy is a Christian private school dedicated to cultivating academic excellence, character, and leadership in students from 3-K through 12th grade. Our unique approach combines rigorous academics with hands-on, real-world learning experiences that empower students to think critically, lead with integrity, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

What is the Charleston Skuttle?
The Charleston Skuttle is one of Crown Leadership Academy's many project based learning assignments made by our very own students! This project is focused on the historical and impactful history of Charleston, South Carolina. And where better to learn than in the very heart of Charleston: Downtown Charleston! We have planted loggerhead sea turtles all throughout Downtown for you to go and find! On these sea turtles there will be QR codes for you to scan and they will direct you to videos detailing Charleston's transformative history.
Why We Picked Turtles?
Symbol of Resilience – Turtles are known for their adaptation and ability to endure challenges, much like Charleston and how it has survived.
Connection to Charleston – As a coastal city, Charleston is home to sea turtles, (specifically the loggerhead sea turtle) which are an important part of the local ecosystem and are a beloved symbol of the Lowcountry.
Engaging & Family-Friendly – Turtles are easy to recognize, fun for children, and create an engaging, memorable experience for participants in the scavenger hunt.
